hello again! changed to another skin since most of you guys dont really find the previous one okay... hope this is better! are there too many pictures or sth?? please tell me again!! well anyway, on the two staff training days we had prefects' training camp :D

the first day didn't have much highlights except that we did some caterpillar game which was really tiring! maybe we can do it again for secondary 1 orientation haha. On the second day, it was more interesting, cos we did this very short test on our personalities (like the ones you see in blogtests?). It's called the D.I.S.C test... yuppp so i am an 'I'!!

ohhh well let this do the explaining:
Dominance: People who score high in the intensity of the 'D' styles factor are very active in dealing with problems and challenges, while low D scores are people who want to do more research before committing to a decision. High "D" people are described as demanding, forceful, egocentric, strong willed, driving, determined, ambitious, aggressive, and pioneering. Low D scores describe those who are conservative, low keyed, cooperative, calculating, undemanding, cautious, mild, agreeable, modest and peaceful.

Influence: People with High I scores influence others through talking and activity and tend to be emotional. They are described as convincing, magnetic, political, enthusiastic, persuasive, warm, demonstrative, trusting, and optimistic. Those with Low I scores influence more by data and facts, and not with feelings. They are described as reflective, factual, calculating, skeptical, logical, suspicious, matter of fact, pessimistic, and critical.

Steadiness (Submission in Marston's time): People with High S styles scores want a steady pace, security, and don't like sudden change. Low S intensity scores are those who like change and variety. High S persons are calm, relaxed, patient, possessive, predictable, deliberate, stable, consistent, and tend to be unemotional and poker faced. People with Low S scores are described as restless, demonstrative, impatient, eager, or even impulsive.

Conscientiousness (Compliance in Marston's time): Persons with High C styles adhere to rules, regulations, and structure. They like to do quality work and do it right the first time. High C people are careful, cautious, exacting, neat, systematic, diplomatic, accurate, tactful. Those with Low C scores challenge the rules and want independence and are described as self-willed, stubborn, opinionated, unsystematic, arbitrary, and careless with details.

AHHH there you have it! :P i am an 'I' muhahahahaa. after this test we had to do this challenge thing in which the facilitators only gave us a $10 budget to work on. We had to use this $10 to come up with a business plan that will bring in money for our LUNCH. !!! i was quite shocked at the start, cos it's kinda weird going up to ppl and saying, "HII!! can you buy my lemonade? cos if you dont i will starve for my lunch..." haha yes we sold lemonade! or actually it's orange fruit punch laaa. (we still put lemonade on our sign though)

the other departments sold balloons (which didnt work out at all, cos there werent any students arnd at that time), they sold drawings (pretty good! they got $83 from these), and bookmarks (they got urmm $50 $60?) but of course! the almighty HUMAN RESOURCE department got $92!!! :D :D :D :D

we ate pastamania for our lunch, while the one which sold balloons had to buy mamee XD and you know what! perhaps it really pays to be kind haha. Jiahao helped some old auntie who was kinda handicapped get a taxi, cos she was waiting out there in the hot sun for soo long sighh. then our *dumb* but kind-hearted head of human resource decided to help her!! then! after we had our takeaways from pastamania, we had lots of spare money and we didnt know what to do with it. Guess what? We donated some of our money to the handicapped ppl outside bishan MRT and bought their biscuits and stuff :) that feeling is super good okay... the woman was like so thankful! yea it comes straight from the heart mann.

hahah that's all for the training camp! it's so impossible to say it all on my blog, so you can ask me if you want to. another thing! i bought new specs muhahahha! the sides are bendable so it's really quite cool haha. OKAY bye!
