The climate is changing rapidly. You can feel it, my friends! Last week had been scorching and this week, it's freezing cold in the nights. The cycle repeats itself, and you see friends falling sick. The conditions of our home are getting harsher by the day, but do people care? Are we going to watch it get destroyed like that?
Everyone assumes that someone else is already doing his or her best to help this situation. Why not? We have countless environmental groups distributing green bags, organising activities etc. But who will be there to be on the receiving end? No one, my friends. No one, because we simply assume that there is someone else.
Brothers, sisters of the world. We are in this altogether! Who caused this? Well, if you are looking for the guilty, you need only look into the mirror. The least we can do now is play our small role, such as using green bags as much as we can and turning off our computers when not in use.
You may ask, so what if I do this? It's insignificant! But imagine. Imagine if every single one of us now were to replace our plastic bags and even files with green bags. That means that at least 2000 students in Singapore, in the world have saved on 2000 X 365 X 2 plastic bags in just ONE year. That sums up to 1460000 less bags being wasted. Similarly, just by switching off your computer for 15 minutes in a day can save so much energy and fuel-burning.
Don't you find it troublesome having to carry so many plastic bags after shopping for groceries just because it's so heavy? All you need, is just one solid and trustworthy green bag. Dont you find it irritating that your computer always reboots due to overheating? All you need to do, again, is just put a finger to that switch and turn it off for as short as 15 min.
We are in this together my fellow brothers and sisters. Let's stop this senseless destruction before it becomes too late. So if you see what i see, if you feel as i feel and if you seek as i seek, then I ask you to do this together with me. Let's do our part to saving Mother Earth. Starting today.
(my english persuasive speech. koped quite a bit from V for vendetta :D eh but everything i said. it's from the bottom of the bottomness of my bottomless heart)

helloo! 3 tests have passed :D :D maths was quite easy okay for me, cos my bro made me do math from 6.30pm till 12.30am on sunday... LOGARITHMS ahhhhh. And it really worked for me! Then physics wasn't too bad, but i dont think i will score super well or anything, cos i didn't really study for it. And today! Chinese. hahahah i kinda screwed up my tian2 xie2 han4 zi4 but GUESS WHAT. I did the zong1 he2 on the night before (which is last night) HAHA. how cool is that! so i found the paper quite easy again...
but you know what. when i find papers easy i usually score low, so i shall not say that they were easy. they were manageable haha. anw i really learnt something mann: you want something? you better work hard for it. luck doesn't just come. it goes to the people who look for it. (most of the time :P)
Well! I just saw the music video for 'what i've done' by linkin park and omgg i love it to bits. All the contrast, like one scene, where the american kids held and waved their american flags, while kids in middle east were shown holding ak-47s to protect themselves... then you saw a duck completely coated in dark oil cos of an oil spill... you see people building nuclear bombs. The worst part is: it's all true. (sounds familiar eh? if you've been reading my blog, that is.)
whatever happened to live earth?! I think everyone just thought it was another concert, unfortunately. Are we gonna stop all the crazy stuff we are doing? I dont think so. With so many ambitious leaders... haha. I hope i wont be around when mankind falls, because it will totally suck.
anyway! just watch the music vid okay! it's here:

hellooo people it's been a long time since i have posted! well this entire week was really fun! went for the IMCB attachment and at the same time, played the 16 and under waterpolo league at toa payoh. And i am proud to say both of these events rocked! wheeee
the research theme was on the coronavirus, the IBV in particular, so it was pretty interesting. Many extra things learnt... much much better than school. I mean, it totally owns man! Like we had to wear latex gloves every single time we worked, lab coats and sterilising our hands. Well okay i shall not talk about the content itself laa cos it's kinda long winded yea?
besides the really interesting attachment (i mean, the content itself; yea i mean it! it's really quite interesting if you think of it), i made new friends!! :D our scientist was Boon Hunt, yes his name sounded really cool to me at the start. it's like a combination of singaporean and american names XD and my group had ching whye, kenneth, sarah, joanne, mano, szeching, chuan and hongwei. ching whye's from acs barker rugby+badminton, sarah's from rgs athletics, joanne's from rgs squash, mano's from acjc indian society, szeching's from acjc air rifle, chuan from mjc odac and hongwei's from njc chinese drama.
i tell you our group was the craziest group of all! you see... chuan will do something funny by meddling with the stuff around the lab, like his latex glove! SEE he can even do something with his latex glove hahaha! he pulled the part at the bottom of the palm near the wrist and slided it over his knuckles so it looked something like doraemon's hands XD then he asked boon hunt, 'eh you've been here for so long! have you tried this before!' like OMGG hahahahhahaha. Then sarah wanted to buy latex gloves because of that, so boon hunt told us to go to party city, which we really did go during the third day's lunch. after that chuan will move to the shaker and then put his hands on it and try to get hypnotized by its movement. next he tries the gas sucker tap, and puts his finger there so the latex gloves get caught. Then after chuan does something sarah and joanne will go crazy, like really crazy! yea and me and ching whye are like the fire extinguishers to make them cool down before jin ngee the supervisor screws us again :P but oh welll most of the time we just join in the laughing
boon hunt will be like 'sighh. let them be...' but he's a really nice scientist okay! and he's really patient: like szeching accidentally broke gel C but he didn't even fire up. i tell you if it were sch teachers they would have probably screwed us by now. he even ate lunch with us at burger king on the last day haha :D SIGHH so many things happened! i cannot put all of them here, but well, to ching whye, sarah, joanne and kenneth, thanks for the memories! thanks for the crazy and retarded times i'd never forget :)
and so here's our photos!
ANNDDDD i am totally not forgetting this!! till the next time :D

let it go, let it roll right off your shoulder don’t you know the hardest part is over let it in, let your clarity define you in the end we will only just remember how it feels our lives are made in these small hours these little wonders, these twists & turns of fate time falls away, in these small hours, these small hours still remain let it slide, let your troubles fall behind you let it shine until you feel it all around you and i don’t mind if it’s me you need to turn to we’ll get by, it’s the heart that really matters in the end
our lives are made in these small hours these little wonders, these twists & turns of fate time falls away, but these small hours, these small hours still remain all of my regret will wash away some how but i can not forget the way i feel right now
in these small hours these little wonders these twists & turns of fate these twists & turns of fate time falls away but these small hours with these small hours, still remain, they still remain these little wonders these twists & turns of fate time falls away but these small hours these little wonders still remain

And thus I clothe my naked villainy With old odd ends stolen from a holy writ And seem a saint when I play most the devil.
SEEMS like my craze over V still hasn't resided. Well he said this to the corrupted bishop just before he killed the latter. It's taken from a play by shakespeare, though I dont know the name...
Anyway... i was reading du zhe to prepare for the stupid test tomorrow, but really! it's quite inspiring HMM. And it contains lots of stories that will teach you a lot of things. And i mean it! (DANNGG i feel so mugger again T.T) But really laaa it's quite meaningful, so I shall try to read a bit more.. okay i know, i shall give you some examples:
知人知面不知心 well this basically means that you know the person by name, you know the person by his/her face, but you can never understand his/her heart. Come to think of it... It's pretty much true. That's probably the reason why i seem to know so many people but in actual fact, i dont really know most of you guys... i think! To be frank, I dont have any close friends except for... mr C i guess! :P and yea my polo mates, cos we try to do team bonding haha. I'm quite glad about this fact you know! then i wont have so many friends who know me that well :D and have primary school tantrums of dumping best friends and whatnot. that's damn gayyy la omg. it still happens though, the people arnd me, but :D not to me.
of course, friends are always friends! hahahaaa. why am i suddenly talking about friends... dunno also la. but anyway, it's really true, that phrase there! Know of the johari window? Go google it! and you will know what i mean. And i really love this: "There are no strangers. There are only friends whom you have not met yet!"
AND. i wanna say something. To all the cynical guys and people who are ambitious and PRETEND to be really hardworking and excelling in studies or lying your way through to becoming a prefect so that you can get a scholarship to your bright future: look. if you really think of life this way, then you haven't lived. Life is more to than just making sure you earn big bucks next time my friends! I must say, I used to have this mentality in the past too. But many many things, too many incidents to be counted, completely changed my view. I am serious! I dont want to end up seeing a minister who gives the reason (well, probably in his heart, because they will never reveal what they truly want. 知人知面不知心), "I want to have a good position in the government so that I can earn lots of money and live in luxury without worry." when he is asked why he wants to become a minister. Dont you feel a worm of guilt tingling in your stomach when people look up to you so much because of your abilities, and yet on the inside you have only one selfish and petty personal goal? Are you gonna live your life like that? I dont know about you, but I can't do that.
I know. It's hard and cruel, but this is true, there are many people out there who think this way nowadays and the thing is, I know a lot of such people. It's just that I cannot bring myself to tell them that I hate their attitude. And thus! it's good to be simple-minded ^^ liKe. haha you will never get what i mean! maybe mr C will XD seeya :D

just finished watching transformers with my 2 brothers!! well i am not gonna give a full movie review like Iron Council haha, but i am sure gonna comment on it. The movie is kinda plotless, really, it's just the typical good guys thrash bad guys story. But the thing about this movie is that the effects are really really super good! Like what the movie review in straits times said, 'this summer garbage has effects that wipes out the rest of the summer garbage' or sth like that... The way the robots just suddenly unfold and transform is super cool! I like the aeroplane guy, although he's supposed to be bad :P he just flies and suddenly unfolds and thrashes everything in his way muhahahahah
You know what! i am SOOOOOOO gonna watch harry potter! even the trailer is like so imba omggg. I dont know how to put it down in words haha! just. WATCH IT!!!
And i got a new goal in life: I am going to aim to become the Minister for Education so that I can throw out the 'teach less, learn more' policy as soon as I get there.
YES. I am gonna do that. Not gonna elaborate more!! because if i do i will type out another super duper long post again. But i am tired and i dont wanna do that :)

hello again! changed to another skin since most of you guys dont really find the previous one okay... hope this is better! are there too many pictures or sth?? please tell me again!! well anyway, on the two staff training days we had prefects' training camp :D
the first day didn't have much highlights except that we did some caterpillar game which was really tiring! maybe we can do it again for secondary 1 orientation haha. On the second day, it was more interesting, cos we did this very short test on our personalities (like the ones you see in blogtests?). It's called the D.I.S.C test... yuppp so i am an 'I'!!
ohhh well let this do the explaining: Dominance: People who score high in the intensity of the 'D' styles factor are very active in dealing with problems and challenges, while low D scores are people who want to do more research before committing to a decision. High "D" people are described as demanding, forceful, egocentric, strong willed, driving, determined, ambitious, aggressive, and pioneering. Low D scores describe those who are conservative, low keyed, cooperative, calculating, undemanding, cautious, mild, agreeable, modest and peaceful.
Influence: People with High I scores influence others through talking and activity and tend to be emotional. They are described as convincing, magnetic, political, enthusiastic, persuasive, warm, demonstrative, trusting, and optimistic. Those with Low I scores influence more by data and facts, and not with feelings. They are described as reflective, factual, calculating, skeptical, logical, suspicious, matter of fact, pessimistic, and critical.
Steadiness (Submission in Marston's time): People with High S styles scores want a steady pace, security, and don't like sudden change. Low S intensity scores are those who like change and variety. High S persons are calm, relaxed, patient, possessive, predictable, deliberate, stable, consistent, and tend to be unemotional and poker faced. People with Low S scores are described as restless, demonstrative, impatient, eager, or even impulsive.
Conscientiousness (Compliance in Marston's time): Persons with High C styles adhere to rules, regulations, and structure. They like to do quality work and do it right the first time. High C people are careful, cautious, exacting, neat, systematic, diplomatic, accurate, tactful. Those with Low C scores challenge the rules and want independence and are described as self-willed, stubborn, opinionated, unsystematic, arbitrary, and careless with details.
AHHH there you have it! :P i am an 'I' muhahahahaa. after this test we had to do this challenge thing in which the facilitators only gave us a $10 budget to work on. We had to use this $10 to come up with a business plan that will bring in money for our LUNCH. !!! i was quite shocked at the start, cos it's kinda weird going up to ppl and saying, "HII!! can you buy my lemonade? cos if you dont i will starve for my lunch..." haha yes we sold lemonade! or actually it's orange fruit punch laaa. (we still put lemonade on our sign though)
the other departments sold balloons (which didnt work out at all, cos there werent any students arnd at that time), they sold drawings (pretty good! they got $83 from these), and bookmarks (they got urmm $50 $60?) but of course! the almighty HUMAN RESOURCE department got $92!!! :D :D :D :D
we ate pastamania for our lunch, while the one which sold balloons had to buy mamee XD and you know what! perhaps it really pays to be kind haha. Jiahao helped some old auntie who was kinda handicapped get a taxi, cos she was waiting out there in the hot sun for soo long sighh. then our *dumb* but kind-hearted head of human resource decided to help her!! then! after we had our takeaways from pastamania, we had lots of spare money and we didnt know what to do with it. Guess what? We donated some of our money to the handicapped ppl outside bishan MRT and bought their biscuits and stuff :) that feeling is super good okay... the woman was like so thankful! yea it comes straight from the heart mann.
hahah that's all for the training camp! it's so impossible to say it all on my blog, so you can ask me if you want to. another thing! i bought new specs muhahahha! the sides are bendable so it's really quite cool haha. OKAY bye!
