hmm seems like everyone's blogging about their work, so i shall blog about mine too ^^
on sat i was at east coast again, as usual, and I met Mr Law from Singapore Inline, and a few others. Well they were teaching people how to skate over there, and i was thinking, i might as well as him about whether i can rent skates on a monthly basis from him or sth. And from there, he asked me if i wanna do part-time coaching at Singapore Inline! haha. cool cool. so i agreed; i mean, i will need them to help me out someday, if the school admin gives me problems.
but yeah! things are looking up for the future skate club :D Singapore Inline's teaching lessons in RJC already, and surely if RJC allowed them to teach, i don't think they will shoot down a person who wants to set up a skating club? :D
first day of work was yesterday. i didn't even expect it to be my first day of work. same thing, woke up at 9 plus, stoned around at home, and then suddenly i got a call from Singapore Inline and the guy told me i needed to be there by 2pm. it was 12.30pm then, so yeah the notice is really really short. rushed there and managed to reach there by 2, but GUESS WHAT. the person cancelled the lesson at 2pm, so i had nothing to do.
so i stoned around again, and decided to help this guy called Sam with his stuff. basically what i did for him was just disintegrating skates. take out the ellen screws, pop out the wheels and the spacers, and yeah done. after i separate the wheels and spacers and screws, i dump the boot. simple. hahahaha. but it's kinda tough for some of the boots cos they are so old; their screws are stuck. so i brutally pry out the screws. *evil laughter* (oh wells this part's boring)
then after that, 4 people came to have lesson! they were really beginners. like you know, beginner beginner? like they can't even use the wheels properly. then... the lesson was structured in a way such that by the end of an hour, you can walk on skates comfortably already. and that's just AWESOME. you know, it's completely idiot proof and i can understand why Singapore Inline claims it's 100% guranteed that you will know how to skate after their lessons. seriously, if you can't get it, _______________________. fill in the blanks. hahahaha.
but anw, yeah i'm learning to coach people, or at least, be able to teach people who completely do not know how to skate. and be able to gurantee them that they can skate after an hour. cool right :D after spending more time with them i think i will be able to teach the intermediate and advanced parts; scrape through them at least :P
well although i only earned about $10 that day cos only 2 hours were counted (which is quite reasonable, considering i stoned so much), it was very fun :D know why? cos i love my job. simply because i'm a skate freak. muhahahaha. well and maybe because i'm just doing this to kill time and not to put food on my table haha.
then... on friday i'm going to school to do part-time with Bibi and Baba! :D then i'll see all my uhh.. future YEAR ONES for RI 2009. hahahaha hilarious. then all my juniors will be the PSLs trying to control the parents XD hhaha. oh wells.
watching twilight! ciaoo :D
